Showed impressive nerve to birdie four of his last five holes in the last round of the Qualifying School Final Stage to take the 25th card on the mark. Played the previous two seasons on the Challenge Tour, where his younger brother Tobias also plays. Introduced to golf at a young age by his parents and credits sibling competitiveness with helping him improve his game. After a strong amateur career in Austria, had his first taste of professional golf on the Alps Tour, finishing his rookie campaign in 2013 fifth on the Order or Merit to earn exemption to the Challenge Tour. Enjoys skiing and water-skiing.
